OUR UNIVERSE

For ethical designer Inge de Jonge, inspiration begins with rediscovery. She finds beauty in forgotten fabrics—a vintage treasure from a flea market or the last remaining roll of cloth in an old factory's stock. Her passion lies in giving these dormant materials a beautiful and purposeful second life, a process that is as ecologically responsible as it is creatively stimulating.

For over twenty years, Inge de Jonge has nurtured a unique vision: that of original and timeless clothing, born from a demanding ethical code.

Her journey is that of a pioneer. After a successful start that confronted her with the limits of industrial production, she made a radical shift. Long before it became commonplace, she embraced the circular economy for a virtuous and deeply meaningful approach to creation.

Today, her commitment is embodied by her boutique-workshop, a symbolic place of ultra-local production and a direct connection with her seamstresses. It is here, in Ardèche and Gard, that her heritage from the Rotterdam Fine Arts Academy and her love for France blossom into unique pieces, suspended somewhere between art and garment.

With an original style inspired by the emancipatory spirit of the 1920s, 40s, and 50s, Inge de Jonge creates clothing that celebrates a woman's freedom and identity.

Her artistic line is a testament to her poetic and philosophical vision of the world—a vision brought to life by sumptuous materials, a calming yet sophisticated color palette, elegant embellishments, and an effortless fluidity that makes each piece a joy to live in.

Inge de Jonge - Atelier

Our design process is dedicated to the virtuous evolution of the textile industry. This means ultra-local manufacturing, the use of natural, French materials, and a core commitment to "upcycled" fabrics.

Upcycling is the art of enhancing materials. Inge de Jonge finds beauty in giving a second life to what others might discard. This philosophy transcends fashion; it is an art of living where every object is cherished for the story its material holds.

We call this process “(Re)made.”

Our commitment to social responsibility is woven into every piece. We collaborate with an integration workshop where women regain self-confidence through the art of sewing and weaving, crafting unique garments.

All production is handled locally by seamstresses in Ardèche and Gard, which allows for a personal connection with the designer and drastically reduces our transport footprint.

Guided by a profound personal philosophy, the house of Inge de Jonge is built on the pillars of the social and solidarity economy: circularity, sustainability, and localism.

This same ethos of connection extends to our customers. We prioritize a direct and open dialogue, eagerly welcoming your suggestions to ensure our creations resonate with your deepest needs and wishes.
