In this large town of character, you are in the rue de la Fusterie, an old 'calade'. Les Vans lies in the Ardèche Regional Nature Park, on the edge of the Cévennes, between Ardèche and Provence. Relaxed atmosphere, with plenty of swimming spots nearby (Chassezac, Ardèche, Cèze, Thines). Very well located for activities in the surrounding area. In Les Vans everything is within walking distance.
Les Vans and its surroundings: Superb walks to do, as well as sports activities (climbing, canoeing/kayaking, canyoning, caving, paragliding, via ferrata...). Basic shops, boutiques, restaurants, bars/terraces, within walking distance. Provençal market every Saturday morning and a evening market on Tuesday ( summerseason). Regular flea markets and pottery.
Villefort Lake at 30 minutes / Chauvet Cave, UNESCO site: 40 minutes away. / Avignon and Nimes at 1.5 hours
About us
We (Inge and husband Jan) love decorating and creating pleasant living spaces. Loving beauty, craftsmanship and authenticity, this studio-loft has been completely renovated by Jan and decorated with Inge's 'home décor'. The furniture and decorative elements are partly found in the many garage sales and flea markets in the area.
We like to welcome people who come to discover Les Cévennes / the Parc des Monts d'Ardèche (Geoparc UNESCO)
and we remain available to give you information on the activities to do.
